How to Join as a Cleaner
Everything you need to prepare, and exactly what happens after you apply — so your application goes through first time.
What you’ll need before you start
Having these ready before you apply makes the whole process quicker.
- You’re 18 or over with the right to work in the UK.
- Valid photo ID — a passport or UK driving licence. You’ll show it on a short live video call.
- Your own Public Liability insurance, minimum £1 million, valid for domestic cleaning. You’ll provide the certificate so we can verify it.
- Two contactable references — people who can vouch for your work, whom we’ll get in touch with directly.
- A recent headshot: head and shoulders, plain white background, clear and well lit. You’ll upload it to your profile — it’s the photo customers see once you accept a job.
- We run a Basic DBS check on every cleaner.
How joining works
- Apply online — our 5-step application form takes about 5 minutes.
- We contact your references — each referee receives a short questionnaire.
- A short live WhatsApp video call (around 5 minutes) to confirm your identity — have your photo ID in hand.
- We verify your insurance — your Public Liability certificate — and confirm your details.
- Once approved, upload your headshot — head and shoulders on a plain white background — to your profile.
- Start receiving job offers you can accept or decline. You’re independent — you choose the work that suits you.
