Cookies
Last updated: 6 September 2026
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. Some are needed to make a site work at all. Others are optional, and we only use those if you say yes.
Your choice
We use a small number of optional advertising cookies, set by Meta and Google. They tell us which of our adverts bring people to Tydfy, so we know where to spend our advertising budget. They do not tell us your name or anything about your booking.
You can accept or refuse them, and you can change your mind at any time — use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, or go to tydfy.co.uk/cookie-consent. Refusing costs you nothing — the site works exactly the same either way. If you refuse after having accepted, we delete the Meta and Google cookies straight away.

Cookies set by our payment provider
When you reach a payment page, Stripe sets its own cookies
(__stripe_mid and __stripe_sid) to detect fraud.
These are necessary for taking payment safely and we cannot switch them off.
Their durations are set by Stripe, not by us — see
Stripe's cookie policy.
Who else is involved
If you accept the optional cookies, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited receives information about your visit and may connect it to your Facebook or Instagram account. For that collection, Meta and Tydfy each have responsibilities under data protection law. Our Privacy Policy explains what this means and where your data goes.
If you accept the optional cookies, TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited and TikTok Technology Limited receive information about your visit and may connect it to your TikTok account. For that collection, TikTok and Tydfy each have responsibilities under data protection law. Our Privacy Policy explains what this means and where your data goes.
If you accept the optional cookies, Google Ireland Limited also receives information about your visit — including, on the page that confirms a booking, waiting-list place or cleaner application, a scrambled version of your email address — and may connect it to your Google account. For that collection, Google and Tydfy each have responsibilities under data protection law. Our Privacy Policy explains what this means and where your data goes.
Turning cookies off in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary ones will stop parts of Tydfy working — you may not be able to sign in or complete a booking.
